The Bing Revolution!

The Microsoft Corporation has been earning a good name among the marketers for its re launch of the Bing search engine with the ad clicks jumping to more than 13% in two weeks. Bing has become the buzz word of the season. This is a great result of Microsoft’s constant effort to survive in the online marketing business. Microsoft has always been competing with major players like Google, yahoo to get successful in online marketing business. But unfortunately all its previous products had failed to sustain in the market for a long time. Bing is a big hope for Microsoft to change the way in which its products are regarded by the advertisers.

Lots of positive comments have been filling up the space for Bing. Efficient Frontier, the world’s largest search engine marketer predicts that the Bing would generate considerable revenue for the company! This search engine business fetches good revenue. Microsoft has always been lagging behind Google in terms of ads. Google is the number one boss in terms of ad business. This is a good kick start for Microsoft in the internet marketing field. There has been a consider increase in the number of queries from 9% to 12 % after this launch. This is a great success for Microsoft which had comparatively lower shares. Bing has made Microsoft stand up in the online business.

Online Business generates big bucks and Microsoft has always been targeting to increase its shares. Microsoft has tough competitors like Google, yahoo which has 75 % and 20 % respectively. Microsoft is only left with 5 %.It has to achieve a lot in order to compete with others. US have a value of $12 billion in the search ad business. Every percent gain will give Microsoft $120 million revenue, and thus making enormous money! This boosts Microsoft’s business considerably. Another company called Marin software also makes tools which the digital agencies use to plan internet search campaigns also finds similar results. They find that the customers are spending more time with Bing for planning their campaigns before they launch.

The trend of Google being the sole player is now getting shifted towards equal attention to Microsoft. The momentum gained by the Bing has changed the way in which the advertisers and search engine marketers think. There are mixed views about this product of Microsoft. This momentum made few to get skeptical about its success. But many plan to use a large part of their search budget on Bing. If Bing gets successful it promises a new beginning for the Microsoft, which had bad pasts regarding its previous products.

Microsoft’s earlier products faded the way they entered the market, but Bing is expected to stay in market. Microsoft has been spending huge money to market Bing. Advertisers have planned to spend in more money for Bing if it sustains a two-three month period. Bing is expected to fulfill all the expectations of the advertisers who are in big hopes. If Bing gets successful, then Microsoft’s share in online marketing field will considerably increase.
