There are several different kinds of tools and applications that are available on Facebook. The amount of popularity that Facebook has gained is phenomenal, and you can certainly make it work to your benefit. The huge numbers that Facebook can offer you is certainly mind boggling for certain. The moment you are able to reach out to this vast number of people, you are bound to get sales.

There are plenty of people who are already making a lot of money on Facebook. They have been successful enough into tapping into the right money spinning and marketing techniques.

In fact, the marketing techniques that are used on Facebook are the simplest ones and the easiest of ways to make money. The way marketing on Facebook works is that you need to find people who are interested in buying from you, the specific products and services that you offer. This ensures that you research your target audience and pitch your sales to them. There are also Facebook ads and banners that you can use to get to them.

If you were to spend just about under an hour setting up your profile you will be able to reap the benefits of this most amazing of marketing techniques online. The first thing that you must do is set up your profile about yourself without including anything about your business or services. People will find it far better to get to know and like you as a person before they trust you enough to do business with you. This is the time that they would like to know the personal side of you with no tinges of business in-between. Let them know of your hobbies and interests, and they will certainly find something interesting to add you as a friend.

With that out of the way, you can start building your brand image on Facebook. You are allowed to have a Facebook business page that is linked to your main Facebook profile. Nowadays, search engines do show up Facebook pages in the searched options.

Then the moment you have got your Facebook business page ready you can link it to your website and blogs. You can also link your Twitter account to your Facebook account. In fact, all that you can perform in a traditional marketing scenario can be done on Facebook and with a far wider reach crossing all kinds of demographic and geographical boundaries.

You can identify your niche audience and let your presence be known to them. Once you have done that you can engage them by constantly sending them content and information. You could use all the possible promotional materials to attract them towards your product.

With the New Year on its way it is time to take a breath and reflect on last year. As a virtual assistant this is an excellent time also to look back over your business year and decide how you can improve your business for the coming year.

No doubt there are some attributes of your business that went well, but there are also some that probably did not go as well as you wished. Thus, now is the time to reflect on how you can change so that in 2010 you can watch your virtual assistant clientele continue to grow.

A great way to kick off your January is to plan a day in which you step back and devote the day to looking at your past year in full. Consider setting up a spreadsheet in Word or PowerPoint and compiling a list of everything positive that has happened this year with your business.

Then create a second counterpart document that lists the items that you would like to improve on as a virtual assistant. Perhaps you want more clients or need to learn better time management skills. Regardless of where you identify your weaknesses make sure to include them on a list.

Now that you can look objectively at what went well and what needs improvement you can sit back and develop a list of goals for your coming business year. This is important because once your goals are realized you can start to brainstorm about the best ways to reach your goals. For instance, if you need to improve your time management skills you may want to think about delegating some tasks to other people.

If you work online this may also be the time to consider hiring an additional employee to help you. Having an assistant means that you can take a break from time to time which will help you become more productive while at work. It also means that you have someone else to account to which may be all that you need in order to keep on track this year.

If you are looking for a virtual assistant to aid you with your small business, you want to hire a virtual assistant minus the misconceptions. You must get out of the mindset that virtual assistants are cheap and you do not have to pay taxes on the salaries given to them.

Paid professionals -:

Virtual assistants are in actuality paid professionals. VA’s are independent contractors and when and how you work together is very much different as compared to your own employees. You are not employing VA’s as regular employees instead; you are hiring a professional who offers administrative support on a monthly basis.

Small businesses are great for virtual assistants -:

VA’s are great fits for small businesses that do not have the space or time or workloads which call for hiring in-house employees. VA’s can virtually work from their homes as well as work with your small business on an ongoing basis.

Virtual assistants can eliminate the stress in your business -:

VA’s allow you to focus on your efforts with your small business while generating activities such as marketing and other work-related duties of your business. Hiring a VA can literally increase your revenue due to allowing you to concentrate on the core of your business and allowing you to do what you do best, run your business.

Summary -:

Some small business owners wonder how they can afford a VA in order to receive the type of help they truly need for their business. How can you afford not hiring a VA? Your small business will thrive in not only productivity but profits with the smart business move of hiring a VA.

When you are trying to sell internationally, a wonderful way to open up new revenue streams for your small business is selling abroad. You will find that your dream can be quickly distinguished with the government stepping in. Ensure that the US Government considers whatever you are exporting legal. You can sell endless products abroad if you make sure you obtain the proper license to do so.

Do not be afraid of the word “export license” for the majority of US exports do not need a license. However, you must understand what is regulated and is a matter of classifying your product(s) and where they may end up. I highly suggest that you Google “Department of Commerce” and this will bring you to the export controls website. On this website, you will find a specific breakdown on licensing.

You can apply for an export license online. You will need to apply for a personal identification number as well as other trivial things. Keep in mind you are dealing with the government and this is not the same as shopping for products online.

You need to understand the law and how the law applies to your exporting plan for your business. You can find the government export regulations online which have been compiled within a database. You need to read some of the chapters of the “Export Admin Regulations” which is where you will find what goods fall under the law and which countries the law does not apply to.

If you are interested in exporting, I highly recommend you take a class on this topic. The US government offers cheap classes on exporting specific goods. You will want to review the course descriptions ensuring that it applies to your business as well as the costs and locations.

Here Are Some Helpful Tips -:

Do not get frustrated. The government regulations are very detailed however, most relate to a small number of exports and a handful of countries the United States deem a problem.

Licenses tend to apply to military items and particular technologies, you will need to ensure that you can stamp “NLR” (No License Required) on your export documents and this means you will have to check.

Ensure that you keep meticulous records. Record keeping is a huge part of performing exporting. Ensure that you always maintain records minimally five years back.
